Parameters above the failover threshold (primary) and the promotion threshold (standby)
On the primary instance, if any of the following parameters is unhealthy, device service fails over automatically to the standby instance. On the standby instance, if any of the following parameters is unhealthy, device service cannot fail over from the primary instance to the standby instance.

This health parameter indicates whether the BlackBerry MDS Connection Service can communicate with the other components over HTTP or HTTPS. This does not include connectivity with the local Enterprise Management Web Service. |
Connection to the BlackBerry Configuration Database |
This health parameter indicates whether the components can connect to the BlackBerry Configuration Database (the database associated with the BlackBerry Device Service). |
BlackBerry Push |
This health parameter indicates whether the Enterprise Management Web Service can issue HTTP EMA pokes to devices, and whether devices receive HTTP EMA pokes. |
Management of BlackBerry devices |
This health parameter indicates whether the BlackBerry MDS Connection Service can communicate with the local Enterprise Management Web Service. |
Management of iOS and Android devices |
This health parameter indicates whether the components can deliver management settings to iOS devices and Android devices. |
Parameters below the failover threshold (primary) and the promotion threshold (standby)
The following parameter does not trigger automatic failover from the primary instance to the standby instance, and does not impact the promotion of the standby instance.
