Specify a new password and lock a device
To protect a lost or stolen device, you can lock a device over the wireless network (either the mobile network or Wi-Fi network). When the user unlocks the device, the device prompts the user to type a password that you provide to the user.
Note: This command does not apply to iOS
devices.
- On the menu bar, click Users.
- Click the name of a user account.
- In the Managing devices section, click Specify device password and lock.
- In the New device password field and Confirm the device password field, type an activation password.
- Click Submit.
After you finish: Send a message to the user informing them of the new device password that
they are required to use to unlock the device.
