Assigning and activating devices
You can assign devices to user accounts you created in BlackBerry Management Studio. After you assign a device to a user account, the user can activate the device over the wireless network, LAN, or your organization's Wi-Fi network, or the user can connect the device to the computer to activate it using the BlackBerry Web Desktop Manager.
When you assign a device to a user account, you can send an activation password to the user. The user must type the activation password when the user activates the device for the first time.
After a user activates the device, the device is associated with a user account, which allows you to view and manage the device in BlackBerry Management Studio.
