Validate an email address
Note: Depending on the permissions that your administrator has assigned to you, some features or options might not
be available.
When an email address is not valid, the subscriber cannot send or receive email messages on the BlackBerry smartphone from that email address.
A subscriber's email address might not be valid for a number of reasons. For example, if a subscriber changes the password for an email address that was added to the BlackBerry Internet Service and does not update this information in the BlackBerry Internet Service account, the email address is no longer valid. Also, if a subscriber switches to a new smartphone, for security reasons all of the subscriber's email addresses are no longer valid and must be validated.
- Search for the subscriber's account.
- In the Subscriber Search Results area, click the subscriber.
- In the Subscriber Details area, click Validate beside an email address that is not valid.
- Type the current password for the email address.
- Click Validate.
