Specify a new work space password and lock the work space

If a user forgets their password, you can remotely change the work space password and lock the work space. Depending on the IT policy settings and the device settings, sending the command may also change the device password. This command is available for devices running a BlackBerry 10 OS version that is 10.2 or later.

  1. In the BlackBerry Administration Service, on the BlackBerry solution management menu, expand User.
  2. Click Manage users.
  3. Search for a user account.
  4. In the search results, click a device PIN.
  5. Click Specify new work space password and lock the work space.
  6. In the Work space password and Confirm password fields, type a new password.
  7. Click Specify new work space password and lock the work space.
After you finish: Send a message to the user informing them of the new work space password that they are required to use to unlock the work space.
