Activating devices
When you activate a BlackBerry device in the BlackBerry Device Service, you associate the device with your organization's environment so that users can access work data on their devices.
To activate a device, you can use any of the following methods.

Connecting devices to a computer that can access the BlackBerry Administration Service |
You can activate devices by connecting them to a computer, logging in to the BlackBerry Administration Service, and manually activating the devices. After the devices are activated, you can distribute them to users. |
Using BES10 Self-Service |
Users can create activation passwords in BES10 Self-Service and activate their devices over the wireless network. |
Allowing activation over the wireless network |
New users and users that receive replacement devices can activate their devices without requiring a physical connection to your organization's network. |
