Lock a subscriber's lost device

Note: Depending on the permissions that your administrator has assigned to you, some features or options might not be available.

If a subscriber has not set a password for their BlackBerry device, you cannot complete this task.

  1. Search for the subscriber's account.
  2. In the Subscriber Search Results area, click the subscriber.
  3. In the Subscriber Details area, click the BlackBerry Protect tab.
  4. Click Lock Device.
  5. Click Lock.
If the device is turned off or not connected to the wireless network, BlackBerry Protect locks the device the next time the device is accessible.
