Installing BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 on a single computer

You can install BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 version 10.1 or later on a single computer, or on a computer that hosts BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 SP4.

This reduces the amount of hardware required. However, in larger environments, you can choose to install components on separate computers to balance the work load.

There are both benefits and limitations to this type of deployment.

If you want to deploy a BlackBerry Router or a Proxy server, you will require an additional computer. If your organization requires the additional security of deploying the BlackBerry Router or Proxy server in a DMZ, you will also need an internal firewall.
