Permit wireless service providers to send BlackBerry Device Software update requests to BlackBerry devices

If your environment includes specific BlackBerry device models running specific versions of BlackBerry 6, the Allow Wireless Security Updates IT policy rule replaces the functionality of the Allow Non Enterprise Upgrade IT policy rule that you configure in this task. Before you begin: Verify that you did not configure the BlackBerry Administration Service to display the BlackBerry Device Software pages.
  1. In the BlackBerry Administration Service, on the BlackBerry solution management menu, expand Policy.
  2. Click Manage IT policies.
  3. Click an IT policy.
  4. Click Edit IT policy.
  5. On the Wireless Software Upgrades tab, change the value of the Allow Non Enterprise Upgrade IT policy rule to Yes.
  6. Click Save all.
