BlackBerry Internet Service Help

Mailbox storage limit

The BlackBerry Internet Service is designed to access email messages directly from the email accounts that are associated with email addresses that subscribers add to the BlackBerry Internet Service. The BlackBerry Internet Service does not permanently store email messages; therefore, limitations on the number of email messages that subscribers can store in the mailbox of the email account that is associated with the email address they add to the BlackBerry Internet Service depends entirely on the limitations that the email service provider sets.

The BlackBerry Internet Service is designed to store subscribers' email messages that are 32K or less in size on the BlackBerry Internet Service server for 30 days. After 30 days, email messages are deleted permanently from the BlackBerry Internet Service server. The email messages remain on subscribers' BlackBerry smartphones, but subscribers cannot reply to or forward these email messages. Email messages that subscribers cannot access on their smartphones because the email messages have exceeded the maximum age, are not automatically deleted and remain in the subscribers' email account.
