Lock device after inactivity in work space rule

Description

This rule specifies the period of inactivity in the work space that can elapse before a device locks.

If you configure this rule, the following behavior occurs after the specified inactivity period:

  • On iOS devices, the work space locks when a work space app is open. The device doesn’t lock and the screen doesn’t turn off.
  • On Android devices with a password, the device locks when a work space app is open. The work space isn’t locked.
  • On Android devices without a password, the device turns off the screen when a work space app is open. The work space isn’t locked.

On Android devices, the inactivity period that you specify is the maximum time for inactivity. A user can set a shorter inactivity period on the device. If the user sets a shorter inactivity period, the screen locks when that inactivity period is met.
