Change the transport protocol for a Microsoft instant messaging environment
- In the BlackBerry Administration Service, on the Servers and components menu, expand BlackBerry Solution topology > BlackBerry Domain > Component view > Collaboration.
- Expand the instant messaging environment.
- Click the instance that you want to change.
- Click Edit instance.
- In the Connection settings section, perform one of the following actions:
Option Description For Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2
In the Transport protocol drop-down list, perform one of the following actions:- click TLS if you want the BlackBerry Collaboration Service to encrypt the data that it sends to the instant messaging servers
- click TCP if you do not want the BlackBerry Collaboration Service to encrypt the data that it sends to the instant messaging servers
For Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2005 or Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007
In the Transport protocol drop-down list, perform one of the following actions:- click HTTPS if you want the BlackBerry Collaboration Service to encrypt the data that it sends to the Microsoft Office Communicator Web Access server. The computer that hosts the BlackBerry Collaboration Service must trust the TLS certificate on the Microsoft Office Communicator Web Access server.
- click HTTP if you do not want the BlackBerry Collaboration Service to encrypt the data that it sends to the Microsoft Office Communicator Web Access server
- Click Save all.
