Preparing to distribute a BlackBerry device

Before you distribute a BlackBerry device to a user, you can configure the BlackBerry Enterprise Server to synchronize email messages that the user previously sent and received on a supported BlackBerry device. You can synchronize messages for a new user or for a user that received a new PIN when they received a replacement BlackBerry device.

When the BlackBerry Enterprise Server synchronizes messages to a BlackBerry device, it applies the message filter rules and redirection settings that are specific to the user account.
