Disable Media Manager FTP Access IT policy rule
Description |
This rule specifies whether applications can access the FTP channel from the media manager tool in the BlackBerry® Desktop Manager. This rule controls whether a BlackBerry device can transfer files from the onboard device memory or media card using the FTP channel. When you permit the device to transfer files using FTP, the device does not protect the files using content protection. The device can encrypt the data on the media card if you configure the External File System Encryption Level IT policy rule. This feature is not available for BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.2.2 because the Roxio® Media Manager uses the media transport protocol to transfer files. |
